A
tidy crew from our FBC congregation once again provided and served dinner on
Sept. 29 for over 110 residents and staff at St. John's Shelter for Women and Children on Power Inn Road.Raymond Pico and Sean Herle shopped for
chicken to bake, green beans, salad, and dessert.Anne Herle and Dan Schield assisted them with
serving, all overseen by three-year old Dylan Baldock, Dan's grandson. There
was enough of the entree left over for seconds and to feed our crew afterwards.
Not so with the ice cream dessert--the delighted diners finished it all, with quick
seconds and thirds. As usual, designated residents appreciatively took over to
do the clean-up.
The next fifth Tuesday Dinner at St John's is December
29.Come check-in with this missions
opportunity to reach out to our City, where your presence is rewarded with
smiles and lots of "thank you's."Call
