Philippines?
Well,
yes!Thanks to the support and
encouragement of many friends and family, Sheryl and I have just enough funds
to purchase plane tickets! We will be
leaving November 15 and returning December 8, 2009.We said "yes" and took a step of faith
trusting that the funds for our livelihood there will be met and that we would
be able to give tangible help to the missionaries that we join.We are reminded that this trip will offer
information and possible participation for our church in future involvement in
the lives of these people. We are
reminded of the possibility for this trip to join and strengthen pre-existing
evangelistic teams and missionaries in preaching the gospel and ministering to
the poor and destitute. Places in the Philippines are
still under water, children are suffering from boils from the wet exposure, and
unimaginable conditions are present with those who have lost homes yet we are
told that the people are still receptive to the gospel. If you have not already decided, you can play
a vital part in prayer support and financial investment for this trip.If you desire to join in the call to go make
disciples to the ends of the earth, call the church office at 916-443-6537 and
find out how you can participate.Prayer
support is essential, financial investment is appreciated.
